Dropped from 21 to 14 or so. Kind of wish I had dropped one or two more, but I couldn't quite figure out which to drop so I just kept them. ~3 or so interviews a day isn't bad though, even though I have fairly long gaps between interviews.

So when are we supposed to email recruiters to request interviews? Hire ground makes it seem like after the add period..so after 10 pm?

Anyone heard anything about how bad a writing sample has to be to negatively affect chances of an offer from a callback? I hate my LRW memo but everything I have from the summer is legal research on pretty specific issues moreso than application of law to complex facts (assignments like "research whether Amendment X, meant to protect hotel owners from liability, would apply to AirBnB rentals"). I didnt get an absolutely terrible grade on the memo (high P or P+ or whatever the prof called it) but handing over writing samples just freaks me out a little in general.

Every single attorney I talked to this summer who had once been part of their firm's hiring committee told me that they don't actually read it and end up just tossing them.

I think I might re-edit my LRW memo for two reasons: one, I'm a better writer now than I was in September, and two, to make it more "mine" and less of my LRW profs. Unsure if there's anything wrong with that besides more work.

Any tips on interviewing with a superstar partner as opposed to a random associate? I was just researching a firm, and came across a name I'd heard before - a well known partner who headed a number of headline cases. Later, I checked who my interviewer would be, and lo and behold...

Is there anything different about such an interview? Or should I just have an idea of some of his big cases and expect a regular interview?

What? They have several different schedules for several different offices. Interview slots available in NY too, if you act fast. Beginning tomorrow.

Did you bid on NY? If so, they'll be at the very beginning of the list of firms. Because you're asking this question, i'll assume not.

1) Anyone know anything about the lunch situation? I assume we're on our own for lunch (at least anything substantial)? Do hospitality suites provide any food?
2) Is there going to be water available? And are we going to need to bring our own water bottle?
3) Finally, are there going to be computers/printing available?

0. There was no need to anon post this
1. Yes, you'll probably want to go get your own lunch. Some of the nicer hospitality suites have sandwiches; not all will.
2. Every hospitality suite has water.
3. Yes, OCS provides printing.

Good luck to everyone! Without outing myself to HLSers and otherwise, there's a good chance I'll see at least some people reading this post on Tuesday.

Is there a list of where every firm is somewhere at the hotel, if I wanted to pop into a hospitality suite at some point?

You can leave it in the student lounge ballroom. The room is full of people the whole day, so I wouldn't worry about theft.
