Pretty sure the blindly bid NYC advice only works if you bid on some of the big V20s. They're the ones with the SA classes big enough for them to stop worrying as much about your transcript after they see the part that says HLS on the top.Anonymous User wrote:The whole "blindly bid NYC if you have mediocre grades" business is probably terrible advice. Looks like I am going to end up with more success in DC than NYC and I didnt even bid a single V20.

I agree with the original anon. If you have mediocre grades you really have to bid carefully and even then it takes a good deal of luck. I feel like it's a bit of a crap shoot.Anonymous User wrote:Pretty sure the blindly bid NYC advice only works if you bid on some of the big V20s. It's too late for me to do anything about it, but for curiosity's sake, can you guys define what you mean by "mediocre" grades?Anonymous User wrote:I agree with the original anon. Did anyone who did a Ropes Boston callback ask about how big the class is going to be this year?? I know it has been around 55 the last couple of years but wondering if it may be smaller this year.

(Same poster as above) they were very positive towards me, too, so the lack of response is confusing.Anonymous User wrote:Thanks. That makes me feel better.
