Congrats, man. I personally see it as helpful it really does prove you really only need one CB as long as it results in an offer.
Thanks all. Seriously if I can get one, anyone can. Good luck.

ETA: seriously sorry if it at all came off dickish.
Congrats.

Sidley Chi phone CB last week from outside OCI. Took them 1.5 weeks to get back to me.

I haven't heard of many others hearing from them good or bad though.

No word from Sidley here. Assuming no bueno since it's been almost 2 weeks
Ya it's just weird at this point. Only asked b/c hadn't seen many in this thread talking about Sidley callbacks. I haven't heard anything from Latham Chi either.

Safe to assume both are no's, but I'd be nice to definitively know.

You won't definitively know until you're actually dinged. On the other hand it is safer to assume that it is a ding and keep hustling outside OCI.

If you're asking because you have an offer that is expiring then it might be prudent to ask them (the worst they can say is no).

Kirkland ding was email, so besides checking your spam folders, all you can do is wait I guess

I've cancelled a few. I don't see how it's bad. If you have an offer you want more, why waste everyone's time?

I think as soon as you don't want the job cancelling is the right call.

Anyone hear anything (ding or offer) from Mayer Brown (in Chicago) post-callback? Had a CB over ten days ago...silence since then.

So, do we actually have a fall OCI in September? Am I so blind that I can't find it under the OCI tab in Symplicity?

It's largely a flame and really, should be at the end of your list of job search to-dos.

Since people have been asking...

CB via email from Shearman & Sterling
New York
3.65-3.75/JCLC.
Heard last week on like Tuesday i think, initial interview was on august 23 (last thursday of OCI)

anyone hear from Alston & Bird NY? Latham DC? 'Tis been radio silencio

interestingly, my two (and so far only) CBs have been with the last 2 firms i interviewed with (SS and Willkie NY). so i guess, like a fine wine, i get better with time?

honestly, i have decided that trying to find the logic behind these decisions is impossible, and you will go crazy if you try
