What happened to September OCI?

Also, did any 3L's have luck at OCI? (or have you heard second hand) I'm not a 3L but wondering what my options are next year if I want to change firms or markets.

September OCI is a flame

I don't know anyone successfully switching firms but then I don't know many people who tried.

Sample sizes for 3L OCI are probably too small for anyone to be drawing conclusions. It could be helpful if there were some central database to collect 3L interviewing results...

Perkins Coie is taking it's sweet time (i hope....), found a Seattle thread with scant evidence of a few dings and CBs but not much to go on
Perkins Coie CB and offer.
Wilson CB and offer.
What cities?

Thanks.
I second that. Where was your Perkins offer - Seattle or Chicago?

Nice username. Besides that, I think it's pretty done. Now people mostly just want to gossip about who got what.

For people still waiting, I am still getting mass-mail screeners for major markets, so it's far from over.

For people waiting on latham. I was told that theyve extended enough offers to fill their class, and they are filling up with acceptances faster than they would have anticipated. They have rejected people post cb so, if you haven't heard, you are in their "hold" pile, but they arent sure how deep into that pile theyll be digging.

@anon thanks for the compliments on the name :)

For the Latham folks careful, rumor has it they overextended themselves and leveraged and may no offer if things don't pick up...Only time will tell if this is rumor or more. I cannot say sources unfortunately. Others in rumored trouble are the obvious Winston, K&L Gates and Greenberg offices. I would grab them if they are only offers in the area I want to practice, just beware and keep your eyes and ears open while working there and see if people are busy while working there and ask associates if they are on track for hours this year. I really hope this is the last year we have to think about such things, law students and associates deserve better than this!!!

This sounds like quite an exaggerated version of what I've heard about latham. That being that they got a faster than anticipated rate of acceptance on their initial offers and wont be dipping far into the hold pile, but not to the point of no offer. FTR, they are going forward with 3L hiring.

I agree with what you are writing in terms of Latham hiring...that does not mean it is not prudent to check out their debt structure, Dewey went ahead with their hiring as well, everyone wants a job I guess this post is for people who are looking for a career there!!!

A comparison between Latham and Dewey seems nuts. Latham has a strong market position, much stronger than Dewey had, and they haven't expanded nearly as rapidly by acquiring huge amount of partners. It's possible they'll see layoffs, but the dissolution of a firm like Latham is nearly impossibly to imagine.

Hiding your school is anon worthy.

But, nobody is anon in this thread since one of the mods is NU 2014. IMO, conflict of interest.
