10:01 tomorrow.

In all seriousness, I hope we can all keep it together and not freak out like last year's thread.
I'll take the under.

I usually take literal bloodbaths on Saturday mornings around 10. Will try not to post about it to avoid causing unnecessary confusion/panic.

Boo I wanted a live OGI programming. The webinars are so difficult to hear, though I guess they are much more convenient.

FYI, I believe preselects/alternates might be up on Symplicity.

Remember, rising 2Ls: there are many more rounds to go for you to still get interviews. If you think you don't have a lot of interviews, Do. Not. Panic.

So does the loose lips image mean we are not posting how many preselects we received?

I had somewhere between 0 and 72 preselects. I hope I did not sink a ship.

So how did everyone do?

3.2ish

25 of 50 bids NY. The rest south. No NY preselects. 10 from the south.

None in NY

3 Preselects for Public service

Pretty crappy, but all you need is one :P

So is the general wisdom that you should accept alternates at firms with larger class sizes over preselects at firms with smaller class sizes? If an alternate turns into a PS, do you have almost as good a chance of converting as if it were a PS initially?

How does accepting alternates works if you have more than 23 preselects? If I accept 23 PS, do I have to deny all the alternates, i.e. do alternates count against your total of 23?

Top 15% or so

28 PS, mostly in secondary markets.
Tougher going in NY: Went 8 for 29 with 5 Alts, only got 1 v20 even though I bid most of them.

OGI Handbook wrote: Can you accept interviews and alternates that total more than 23?

Yes. But if you end up receiving a slot for an alternate and have more than 23 on your list, you will only get interviews for your 23 top‐ranked firms (assuming that all can be scheduled).

3.48. IP. Ties to CA. No tie to TX.

DC/VA: 42 bids (13 PS, 7 Alt)
CA: 6 bids (4 PS, 1 Alt)
TX: 2 bids (1 PS, 1 Alt)

Edit: Sorry. I did not list PS and Alt separately first time.

Top 15%

NY Firms:
V10: 3 PS; 2 alternates; 2 not invited
V10-25: 4 PS; 4 alternates; 3 not invited
V26-100: 13 PS; 7 alternates

can't really make sense of the results for the V25 firms, but i'm not complaining

Curious to know if you went straight through, or have any significant work experience? Sounds like you had a pretty good round even if NY was a bit disappointing.

This. The point is don't panic all over TLS if you do not have many interviews yet, because the process is not over; it's just started.

3.5ish, K-JD

16 PS total, with 6 from public service employers. really really hoping that I'll get a couple more when alternates trickle down.

DC: 10 bids (1 PS, 5 Alt)
NY: 46 bids (9 PS, 11 Alt)
London: 2 bids (0 PS, 0 Alt)
Extra bids from public service: 9 Bids (6 PS)

doesn't add up to 50 because of bids of the same firm for DC/NY

*edited because I can't count

Top 20%, law review, k-jd, bid 45 NY, 5 DC:

32 preselects, 9 alts, 9 not invited's from firms that have already submitted.

Did well in NY, not so hot in DC.

Between top 1/3 and top 1/4, K-JD. About two thirds of my bids were distributed among a couple of secondary markets where I have ties, and another third went to NYC. 20 PS and 14 Alt.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
