OP-- I'm sorry for threadjacking (and I don't know the answer to your question), but I have a non-related q about Sidley NY & don't want to clutter this forum with too many threads about the same firm.
According to the NALP statistics for 2011, they no-offered someone in NY last summer. If anyone on this board worked at Sidley NY last year, do you have any idea why this happened (grades, bad work, bad fit, person was a total douche)? It doesn't seem like Sidley is one of those firms that routinely no-offers one or two people in each class (in any of their offices), so it seemed weird to me.

Nope.
Does anyone know if most of the community service fellows found big law jobs?

Re: Sidley NY
just fyi. the 2011 no-offer was to a summer who did literally nothing for 2nd half of the summer. nice person, just didn't want to do biglaw and made it very clear to summers, associates, partners. for the rest of the class there was really no pressure/fear of no-offers.Anonymous User wrote:OP-- I'm sorry for threadjacking (and I don't know the answer to your question), but I have a non-related q about Sidley NY & don't want to clutter this forum with too many threads about the same firm.
