this is probably a silly question but I would ask anyhow.
I am currently seek a new job while working a full-time attorney job.
Because I leave office after 6 or 7 I only have time to send out my resumes either at night or on saturday/sunday.

Would an inquiry email, sent out on a weekend, be frowned upon?

I am sorry if I sound neurotic. I read somewhere that some employers/partners would hate to see such emails arriving at late night, because they have turned on their blackberries for other more meaningful work emails. I suspect that an email sent out on weekends would be similarly frowned upon by some because it would indicate that the sender has 'no life'.

I myself do not mind receiving emails any time of the day. Emails are different from phone calls.

You can't send them in the morning or during lunch?

yes I found myself having to worry about finding a new job at office that I got distracted ....
sending it in the morning - would prospective employers take it as an indication that I am not a dedicated worker?

Uh, send it before you start work if you're that paranoid? Sending an email takes like 15 seconds.

Preload your application emails offline in a program like Outlook or Outlook Express. Then take your laptop to starbucks on your lunch hour or right before work. Connect to their network, click Send All, and you're golden.

Use boomerang. It lets you schedule when to send an email you've already written.

I can't imagine people caring...but if you're really worried about it, I guess you can do what others have suggested. It sounds like overkill to me, though.

Nobody cares. But if you're worried, write up all the emails, save them as a draft and during your lunch break send them all with a click so it's during the day.
