Or does it not work that way? I figured it either makes you look more attractive to the firm and shows that you are still interested in the firm or more pushy/snobby/not 100% committed to the firm.

I think this would be fine if it was like "hey, I don't know where you are in the recruiting office but I wanted to let you know in case it would help you streamline things" and not "call me back call me back please call me back."
Yeah I'd absolutely do it. Say you'll be in town for the other firm but are very interested in seeing them while you're there. Worked for me

Did you name drop the firm? My flight is already booked for late at night, but I should be done at 2-2:30 (still waiting for interview schedule) Do you think that is still enough time to meet with another firm?

Frick, and I thought my McDonnell interview went amazing.

me too and silence here as well. Did McDonnel CB come by phone or mail?

Last year as a 2L I thought that my interview with MBHB went really well also... still got a snail mail rejection a couple of weeks later. Hopefully you guys do better than I did.

My interviewer called me yesterday afternoon; Brinks Hofer emailed me.

Is it still reasonable to contact a firm if they had mentioned it might take three weeks to get back to me because of school OCI?

I did - the recruiters actually knew each other and were friends so it was super easy for them to coordinate everything. 2:30 is cutting it pretty close, assuming 30 minutes to travel to the other firm. They may think its plenty of time, but I'd do them over 2 days if possible in case something runs over at firm 1. Just call and explain it to the first firm if you do pick up an interview - even with a change fee on your airfare, they probably still save money overall (and I don't think care overmuch about the 200 bucks of extra expenses you might induce anyway tbh) because of the addition of a second firm to split the bill with.

If interviewer leaves voice message inviting CB, should we write thank-you email?
