1L Permanent Offer Rates
1L SA at a v25. Don't plan on burning the building down or sending confidential client information to competitors or anything, but do firms generally have the same permanent offer rates for 1Ls as 2Ls. I know you have to come back for a victory lap second summer, but is this generally a 95+% thing? Would a grade drop hurt a 1L any more than 2Ls?

The thing is they don't give you a permanent offer, they give you a return offer for the victory lap, then after the victory lap you get the permanent offer. Whether you get the return offer depends on the firm, my 1L firm gave them out as a matter of course, but I had friends whose 1L firms were much more stingy. Granted, I was a 1L SA at the worst part of ITE so YMMV.
