NYC Judicial Internships
I've interviewed with two NYC judges so far (one in civil court, the other in supreme). Both said they would let me know in a week or two. Soft rejection or just too early in the cycle for city judges?

I'm unsure... Has the time passed beyond the notification window?

What do you mean by "notification window?"

Has the one or two week notification period passed?
I do not think most opportunities with Judges come from on the spot offers. But I may be wrong.

No, it has only been a few days. I always read about on the spot offers, and my friend was offered a position the day after her interview. I guess I just figured that was the norm, and that I was getting rejected.

I got a jerb with a court once and it took 2-3 weeks after the interview for them to offer. I figure I wasn't the first choice and the first choice declined, heheheh. maybe I was the fourth choice. who cares.

Was this state or federal court? I'm just trying to figure out if federal court judges make offers on the spot, but not state. Or that this "on the spot" offer thing is really for year-long clerkships, not summer internships.BrianFellow wrote:I got a jerb with a court once and it took 2-3 weeks after the interview for them to offer.
