No one actually reads those past the point of "Can s/he write one? Ok."

Haha..Oh, I get it. In the lounge, I wouldn't have commented. I just didn't want some gullible 2L to think that shit matters.

Why risk looking unprofessional for the dubious privilege of hooking up with a law student?

How are you going to look unprofessional? It's not like you're doing it in the office.

Sure if no one finds out, you'll probably be fine. And chances are that no one would find out. But once you factor in social events loosening tongues, or someone saying the wrong thing to someone else who tells another person, you're playing with fire. Why take the risk to hook up with a law student?

Same reason you hook up with anyone else.

To get laid.

Thank you. This is just terrible. And also not funny enough to convince me that it's a joke.
This coming from the guy who hooked up with one of his ship-mates. I get that she was a prostitute, but geez man have some standards.
The term is companion, and sadly that never happened.

If you define "hooking up" as "making out," then they technically did hook up in that episode where Mal finds himself with a wife.

That's a rather loose definition of making out, even, but I suppose I could get behind it.

In for the Firefly love :)
However that make out was more of a kiss than anything. Also, Mal I was unconscious at the time and didn't remember it happening. So I would say that hookup still counts as an unresolved love interest. Good god if there would be more episodes.

Important question: Male or female? Female, and you may get a (deserved or undeserved) bad reputation. Male, you've just given someone ammo to use against you later on. Women do that.

Allow me to make a helpful Grizz-chart:

I fail to see how this is ammo. If she hooked up with you, she arguably has even greater incentive than you to make sure that people don't find out. I'm not saying you should do it, but I think people on here are exaggerating about the risks. People from the same firm get married all the time. If you spend a lot of time with someone, you often develop an attraction to them. I don't think it's a huge deal if you act like an adult about it.

Workplace hook-ups are generally a pretty bad idea, but then again, everyone knows that and does it anyway, and so will you if you get the opportunity, so it's kind of moot in the end.
