Haven't gotten anything yet, a bunch of Texas District judges saying they are done hiring. Going to the Public Career fair at UT in Austin next week. Have two prescreens and hoping to have better luck at table talking.

I wouldn't assume that just because low SES is listed in the ad, low SES will suffice by itself to get these interviews/jobs.

Agreed. But it might still be worth it to apply.sundance95 wrote:I wouldn't assume that just because low SES is listed in the ad, low SES will suffice by itself to get these interviews/jobs.

PSA: Not to make you guys extra crazy, but check the junk/spam folder of the email you list on your resume.
I just received an email letting me know that I was sent an offer earlier this month but because I never confirmed they were going to extend the offer to another student. I never had a formal interview with that judge, but he did call me, and I enjoyed speaking with him. I'm slightly mortified that he was given the impression that I'm a flake these past few weeks, but responded right away to clear up the situation. Since I received and accepted a summer offer last month, mine is simply a matter of personal reputation. However, for those of you still playing the waiting game, you might want to check your spam folders.
(Note: I don't know that his email wound up in my spam box as anything from that date has since been auto-deleted, but that seems the most likely result.)

Yep, +100000 to this. I have been checking my spam folder every day and finding good stuff in there (job stuff, not just pills ).Lwoods wrote:PSA: Not to make you guys extra crazy, but check the junk/spam folder of the email you list on your resume.

I have a total of 3 employers I'm allowed to bid on for Spring OCI...
I'm hoping that A in Torts will at least snag me an interview with USAO Civil.

We have 13, a bit more than half are paid. I got every paid position I wanted to apply for. Very happy.NYC Law wrote:I have a total of 3 employers I'm allowed to bid on for Spring OCI...

Good luck with the USAO (and your grade). My USAO bid did not work out. Maybe it's a sign.

This is great! Good job!r6_philly wrote:Got 4 interviews out of 6 bids for my spring OCI. Good day
I got 2/5 at my OCI today. I'm lol'ing cuz I ranked those 2 last to take up space. Not trying to be a douche so I just released those two interviews to my classmates. Meh.

you didn't get your top bids? I didn't get my last two. I still hope to have a job before then ... can't be dragging this on forever through the semester.Guchster wrote:This is great! Good job!r6_philly wrote:Got 4 interviews out of 6 bids for my spring OCI. Good day

Firms and a corporation. We had a fair for PI stuff earlier and I got nothing. Can't believe paying jobs are not as in demand.chimp wrote:Good shit. Out of curiosity, what types of employers?r6_philly wrote:Got 4 interviews out of 6 bids for my spring OCI. Good day

1 interview for OCI, but it was my top choice so I'm not complaining.

Yea that strikes me as weird. Maybe your resume wasn't very PI-focused?r6_philly wrote:Firms and a corporation. We had a fair for PI stuff earlier and I got nothing. This is great! All you need is 1, and it's the one you want! Are you looking to take it, even though you have that offer expiration coming up? Congratspiccolittle wrote:1 interview for OCI, but it was my top choice so I'm not complaining.
