Worst Summer Associate Experience...

Postby Anonymous User » Wed Oct 12, 2011 3:24 pm

What was your worst summer associate experience?

Il start. About a month into my program. We had high school students come in and visit the firm. When one hs student asked whether or not law is competitive. One of the senior partners at the event stated "Law is very competitive, the SA here know that the majority of them will not be hired back next year....."
All the summers started staring at each other.......

Was it tongue-in-cheek, or did most of the SA's get no-offered? If the former, awesome. If the latter, OUT THAT TTT!!!

My guess is that it's a secondary market firm that the majority of people on ATL aren't going to care about. But I could be wrong.

You already got no-offered. Might as well just out them. Not like they're gonna know who you are.

True, but I bet it would make that senior partner think twice next time about being such a jerk.
