some firms just include that in every rejection they send. for example, i got a rejection letter from a midwest firm in early-September saying they "had already concluded their hiring." meanwhile, they collected resumes at my school until sept. 30th.

Received an e-mail from Mckenna Long & Aldridge in Atlanta today asking me about what I'm doing this summer and if I'd like to come in for an interview. Makes me think they might not be getting the yield they were expecting and still looking to fill their summer class.

The Pepper Hamilton one is at my t14 as well. That's an office of what, 40 lawyers? Given the entire firm of 550 has ~20 SAs, it seems like Princeton can't have more than two or three SAs. Why do they need to cast such a wide net? I've heard they've had internal troubles during the recession, but no more then several other similar firms.

If the A&B position is the same one listed at my t10 (and I'm assuming it probably is), it's in Charlotte.

Think Dorsey may only be doing Seattle according to their website. Have come to realize that firms will post positions for local schools, even though don't really have any openings and therefore don't have the same announcement in general.

So far this year I've been re-screened at three firms that rejected me and then when I applied again, called me. One led to a CB, the other is still sitting out there and the third canceled their CB after running my screener sheet by more people in the office for advice. Worth an email resume probably.
