third round interviews are happening right now, and through the next couple weeks or so.

Does anyone know when hiring decisions/offers are typically made???

Out of curiosity, what are the stats (school rank/grades/experience) of the people getting the 3rd round interviews?

The people I know that got 3rd rounds were Top 50% (I don't think any were higher than Top 1/3) at local T2's. Some had moot court/mock trial, some had clinical experience. I'd say a little more than half had some sort of an internship with a DA's office. As you can see, its a pretty wide spectrum of candidates.

I heard that 1/4 get offers after 3rd round, hopefully they decide soon.

most people i know that applied and got to the 3rd round had great resumes (LR/MC, top 20%, etc.). Since 3/4 people get cut at this round, you will see a lot of different people there. An internship with a DA is basically a given at this point.

I have heard hiring is done after the holidays, but that was from ADAs from past years. It could change. I also heard as late as March.

I'm the poster you quoted and I think that the difference in candidates is pretty interesting. I have also heard mixed stories about when they hire, from before the holidays to candidates who waited 3 months for the call.

They started doing 3rd rounds right after Thanksgiving. I think they are finished either today or next week before the holidays

Does anyone know if we'll have to accept/reject on the spot (if made an offer)? I was told offers would be given made week or the week after. Good luck everyone!

Were you told by someone in the office? I heard from current ADAs that offers can be given out in July, or even September.

How did they alert you that you had the position? Phone call, email, snail mail?

By phone, then you receive a letter in the mail shortly after. You have to give verbal and written acceptance. I hope you hear some good news soon!
