They must meet on a rolling basis then because I was explicitly told at my panel that they will make and send out decisions by January 15th at the latest but I could expect earlier as the hiring committee will meet before Christmas.

As far as I am concerned the sooner the better! The wait is killing me. I am thinking about calling toward the end of the month. I will post if I get any new information. Good Luck everyone.

Someone should just bluff and say they have another offer with a deadline coming up and they need an answer about when decisions will be made :)

I told them I have another offer pending (true). I didn't hear anything back. Had panel mid-October.

Did you send your email to George Mosey? I think he is the head of the hiring chair committee and if you have another offer the web site says to contact him. Anyone doing Chicago Cook County state's attorneys office? I have a second round next week.

I am in the same boat. I have not heard anything since my panel in the middle of October. I am debating calling or emailing to inquire about my status, but it's not like I have any other pending offers.

Sent in background check a month ago. Nothing. Unless they have a rolling hiring process (which I have never heard of) or the few TLS people who posted about mid Jan interviews are trolling I think we may be on for a long wait. Still dont get why they explicitly told me early Jan at the latest if they knew it wasn't gonna be then.

I sent in my background check forms the day after my panel interview, almost 2 months ago, and still have not heard anything.

Does anybody know how many panel interviews they conduct and if its true that this years class will be larger than usual? When I had my screener the interviewer hinted that they received additional federal grants. Also at least 11 people have panel interviews scheduled for mid-January but we are all from schools outside of where that office does OCI.

I sent my background check 2 months ago and I have heard nothing. I was told there are 200 panel interviews scheduled. I was hoping to hear at the end of December, but during my panel they said early January. I have a friend that has a panel interview the first week of January. I really do not think we will hear before January. I may call toward the end of the month.

I also saw on the web that the DA wanted more funding to hire a bigger class.

I heard 200 panel interviews for roughly 30 (I have heard rumors as high as 40 and as low as 25) spots. The problem is that out of those 30 at least 10 will surely go to the past summer interns.

has anyone NOT heard anything at all yet? Neither I, nor any of my friends who attend school in NYC (including those w/ties to Philly) have received a call to set up a screener. Are they even doing first round interviews at this point?

I would think you're out of luck at this point, at least for 3L purposes. I would be stunned if they were still doing screeners at this point.

No, I'm an evening student and work full-time. But my full-time job is as an assistant in a DA's office.

I am out of state and received the call for a pre-screen on Monday.

Based on recent TLS posts I think early February sounds more realistic than early January.
