Didn't know that Gunderson was known for great culture.. I've heard mostly the opposite. Maybe this is an east-coast west-coast thing.

A slight plus goes to Wilson as well because of its breadth of practice areas besides only VC/Startup work.

Any thoughts or additional considerations appreciated.
I'd say you've hit it on the head as far as the differences. GD was a serious contender for me but I really didn't like WSGR. Great work (as far as clients), pretty awful work environment.

WSGR = K&E here w/o the bonuses, but big tech for clients. Are you prepared for that?

Basically right. I know someone who went from WSGR to GD and felt the same as you re: culture. The people there are very friendly and I think that the office seems pretty chill. I don't know if this is a California or SV thing, but it was awesome to see so many people working out at the gym during work hours--not that they are slacking off, but it seems that firm employee health and wellness is a value of the firm.

I really think it depends on the type of person you are. I've heard Gunderson has a frat boy culture...
