SA questions

Post by Anonymous User » Fri Sep 23, 2011 6:22 pm

Going to accept an SA position with a firm...
1) Should I call the hiring partner on his cell phone to accept? Or just wait until Monday? He's out of the office given that the weekend has started, and indicated twice to call his cellphone if I have any questions at all.

2) Is it common for SA salary to not exactly match what a 1st year associate makes at the firm? Doing the math, SA's make slightly less per week than the 1st year salaries divided by 52.

No, I would wait and just accept on Monday. No need to bother him on his cell on a Friday.

Also, most SA salaries are less than the 1st year associate salary. $3077/week is the norm for $160K.

Waiting until Monday sounds like a good plan. I've seen market paying firms vary from 3060-3100 for summer weekly pay.

And I would totally make a decision based on that.
