Person who had final OCC & DoL interiviews: mind sharing your stats, generally?
Stunned OCC nor DoL has made offers. Interviews closing in early October-now is a long time to make candidates wait. Do you have other offers tabled?

I highly doubt OCC's offices haven't made offers. When I interviewed I was firmly told that offers would be made by Thanksgiving. At this point, I figure I'm on some sort of waitlist and will be rejected in a couple of months.

Well does anyone know someone who got an offer from the OCC? What about the other fin services agencies? Has CFPB, FRBG, FDIC made offers? What does someone do if they don't get into one of these agencies? Does IRS have a program?

Re: 2012 3L Gov Honors Programs
FDIC and CFPB have already made offers. FRBG and IRS have already done callbacks from their on-campus interviewing and I assume given offers/made decisions. If you don't get into one of these agencies, pray for SEC AC to re-open and keep hustling like the rest of us.Anonymous User wrote:Well does anyone know someone who got an offer from the OCC? Anyone hear back from DOI this week? I heard they will be contacting finalists this week...but they are already behind schedule according to their job posting, so who knows.

Just received OCC rejection letter dated December 9th, kind of relieved in a way to know where I stand, I think they only hired 4-6 this year instead of the 10-14 they hired in prior years which is why this board had so many in the dark.

Wow. Would have been nice if we had all known the questions HUD interviewers would ask before going into the interview.

Has anyone else with a HUD interview had their references contacted?

Yes, I interviewed early this week and one of my references contacted me about 3 days later to tell me they had been called. I also heard they were interviewing through today.Anonymous User wrote:... have you had yours called? i think they were interviewing through today.Anonymous User wrote:Has anyone else with a HUD interview had their references contacted?

Don't forget that a budget still hasn't been passed for most of the agencies. That can affect the number and locations of the positions ultimately offered.

Re: 2012 3L Gov Honors Programs
Any idea what the timeline looks like for these budgets to pass? Is there someplace online where we can keep up to date on budget statuses? A lot of agencies have told me that they're waiting for budgets to pass before they make offers this year.linquest wrote:Don't forget that a budget still hasn't been passed for most of the agencies. Re: 2012 3L Gov Honors Programs
Sorry, guys, I hope my last post didn't scare you too much. The fed budget passed late right before Xmas which was why there was all that talk about a possible gov't shutdown (again ) Some of the agencies that got cut are still sorting out their operating budget. I know my particular office still doesn't know exactly what it's apportioned for the rest of the FY. I'd imagine most agencies have already sorted out their Honors candidate rankings, so hopefully offers will start coming out soon after agency budgets are confirmed.

Re: 2012 3L Gov Honors Programs
I understand that all of us who interviewed for HUD Legal Honors will/should be hearing back this month. Has anyone called or know if any progress has been made? I don't believe my references were even contacted yet (same goes for 2 others I know who interviewed). I understand the appropriations issues and holiday timing but I hoped they would roll out the offers quickly to lessen this anxiety ridden waiting game
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
