Litigation or Transactional law?

I'm trying to choose b/c the firm i accepted is asking me to choose a group, but i have no idea.

what are the main differences? i guess litigation is more adversarial, but what kind of work does each are involve?
as a junior associate, what kind of work will you be doing in each field?
