What are 2L summers like at big firms? Forum

Are there any old threads about this? What's it like to be a summer associate? Pitfalls? How do you do a good job? What are tips to getting permanent offers? When do details about summer programs get released? And such and blah questions

Please, for the love of god and all things holy, used the search function at the bottom of the screen. Hell, just browse the forums and randomly click on stuff. You'll find answers to every question you asked.

Alternatively, don't troll using the anon function. It'll get you banned.

Fine, not anon here. Didn't think this would elicit such a rude response.

A - I don't mean to be dense, but I spent a good while "browsing randomly" and also searching without much luck. Unfortunately, "summer associate," "summer associate experience," "summer associate tips," and the like do nothing to narrow down searches. That's why I asked.

B - Previous threads might not encompass the summer associate experience of 2011. I'm curious what the most recent class might have to say about this.

So, again, anybody have either feedback from their summer associate experience or links to previous threads where this was dealt with in a good way? I'd really appreciate it.
