No offer for or reference calls on behalf of this EOIR finalist. I will say that I have several friends who have done this program and in years past offers have gone out the Tuesday or Wednesday before Thanksgiving. So, I'm not waiting by the phone just yet. Good Luck to everyone!

Thank you for this update...I thought I was by myself in here. No EOIR reference calls or offer for me either, but I will keep this thread posted if I hear anything (please do as well). Good luck!

Any other EOIR finalists in here? Last year, they at least had made some reference calls by this point, but who knows what is happening this year.

FYI: There's a post in the DOJ SLIP thread, indicating that EOIR Honors offers have started to go out. Can anyone else in here confirm any EOIR offers?

There are reports of offers earlier in this thread, but there aren't any specifics with regards to components. The anonymity and lack of data points makes this process really frustrating.

Does anyone know whether EOIR finalists will find out if they are an alternate? Or do we just wait and wait and wait?

You just wait and wait.

From Avue:
Once a component meets its hiring goals, OARM will notify the remaining finalists that they are no longer under consideration by that components.

The first wave of offers "expires" either 28 days from the offer or Dec. 30, whichever comes first, and after that each wave lasts 2 weeks. So if you're an alternate, you could be waiting until sometime in January until you hear anything one way or another

Sorry man.

Thanks! Just wondering if/assuming people are trying to be subtle in here without giving away that they've already received offers. Good luck to you, too, if you're waiting on another branch.

If people here don't want to post whether they've received offers, another alternative is to email Above The Law and let them know. They usually do an article once offers start going out that they update with the components that have issued them. You'll still be completely anonymous and your component will be grouped together with a list of others instead of an isolated post. And this way, other people can find out which components have issued offers. Win win.

I'm also not sure at this point if there aren't more than just two people posting in here, haha.

Well think of it this way: There are about 70 DOJ Honors spots total? So there are about 70 people alive that could sign on to this board and say "I got an offer." We've already heard of at least 3 non-EOIR offers (out of about 40), which is actually pretty amazing, statistically speaking. Everyone else is asking about EOIR; they are part of, what, 62 EOIR finalists in existence? Still pretty good statistically that they're even here asking. And only 31 would be able to confirm offers.

The best bet for finding out where things are at is probably what someone else mentioned above: wait for ATL to break it and say which components have started or finished hiring. They have a much broader readership than this board. And that process could probably be sped up if those TLS posters/lurkers that already have offers emailed ATL to let them know about them.

Are you sure there is just one alternate per position? Just curious how you came up with that number?

I knew this thread would be quieter than last year, but I didn't expect it to be THAT quiet. I haven't even heard back from my references....
