Which component? (at this point, no disclosure of components will destroy anonymity)

Thanks! If others (especially those whose references were called) could post updates on components, too, that'd be helpful.

Changed to referred to components today (CIV and ATR)

Any idea on what this actually means?

It means your info and app materials have been sent over to those two components, and they will now be the ones who decide whether to interview you or not. In other words, you just beat out a LOT of people in the first step. Congrats!

Is that true? I thought that all of the apps get referred to components if they are determined to be eligible. Also from prior years people posting on message boards have said they got interviews without their status ever changing to "referred to components" (it just went right from application received to selected for interview).

My impression was that the anxiety over this status change had more to do with an indication that the process was moving along toward interview selections.

Still nothing from me. I did hear about the app received - selected for interview from last year. When did EOIR change for you? I guess that means I should give myself until Monday...

Has anyone else on here had their references called? I wish the person earlier would have disclosed the component.

Which branch? It seems as if a lot more people are getting referred this year than last.

Are they calling the people we listed as references AS employers, or did your list of references just happen to be employers?

They've called some of my references and some of my former employers who I did not list as references.

We're supposed to hear about whether we received interviews this Thursday via email. Has anyone else heard that their references have been contacted?
