Nothing here. It's only been a week. Give it at least a month before you start worrying.

As I said in that thread (and I know from personal experience), some SLIP components hire SUPER-early. I interviewed with one USA office for SLIP within a couple of weeks of labor day. This doesn't mean the goose is cooked.

No Honors status changes? It's odd that EOIR as sent out "selected for further considerations" emails to SLIPs before any status changes have been reported for Honors. It seems to go against the timeline from last year.

Thanks for checking in. I'm trying to keep my sanity, but the DOJ shaking things up this year and moving forward with SLIP applicants first is making that seem unlikely.

What a sad existence. lol.

No kidding. Every time my phone goes off I wonder if it's an email from DOJ. Sad.

No problem. It's always tough to gauge the progress of these things, as people with early calls or whatever are more likely to post. Just remember that there's rarely, if ever, harm in calling the source to check in about hiring status.

Still at application received. But according to their timeline, we shouldn't expect anything until at least the end of September, right?

At some point today mine was updated from "application received" to "referred to components." Things are moving, people.

None here - submitted in mid-August.

Typically status changes happen all around the same time (within a day or two), regardless of when you submitted your app. But as of now, there's only one person on here reporting being changed to "referred to components".

Hey Judpol: I'm the anon who just PM'd you. Keep me posted if you hear anything with EOIR. It's my #1, and I suppose it's only a good thing that neither of us have updates.

wait, do you mean to say that ALL status changes happen, or just all status changes within individual components happen at the same time??

From personal experience (with SLIP) and from looking at past year threads on here and xoxo, it appears as if everyone's status (regardless of component) will change within the span of a week. It's unclear why some people's change faster than others, but to me, it has more to do with components than anything else.

However, not much is predictable this year. Last year, Honors status changes happened before SLIP, but that's not true for this year.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
