I have a Simpson call back coming up soonish. Can anyone give advice? My resume is mostly lit and I'm meeting with half lit people and half transactional. I'm somewhat interested in transacational - any idea of how to explain an interest having only done lit; now in corporations?

it's not like you have a lifetime of lit experience. just ask questions about the corporate practice that indicates you've put some thought into it, and you'll be fine.

At Columbia it was ~50% last year.

would columbia have a higher or lower offer rate than similarly ranked, but not similarly located, schools? i would think maybe lower, because the firm can afford to give out a lot more callbacks, but who knows.

and do you know when last week? from the posts here it seems that cbs on mon-wed get mon calls, while thurs-fri cbs get one on tues.
I don't think that's the case, someone earlier in the thread got a callback on tuesday when they interviewed on a monday. more likely they've divied up calling duties and people just get around to it at different times.

Someone in another thread mentioned that STB is currently extending callback invites based on resume collects, suggesting that they're scrambling to fill their summer class. Any other evidence to that?

well, if I don't end up getting a call today, that'll be evidence that they're not THAT pressed...
