Am I the only one still frantically doing CBs to get an offer? I'm trying to get an idea for when exactly the good ship Worried is going to sink.

I wish I was still doing CB's. Waiting on one more firm, only 6 slots. I've been following up on mailings and getting nowhere.

Waiting on one firm, one spot. Mass mailing has got me nowhere too.

I've been avoiding talking about the subject. It's more or less gotten out that I'm offer-less, so when people do start talking about their offers / upcoming summer experience they do so in hushed tones.

I feel like shit.

Just did one a few days ago, and I'm gonna do another on Monday. I'm getting a few phone calls from firms I applied to ages ago telling me they'd be interested in phone interviewing me. The aftermarket season is upon us. I really don't think the good ship Worried ever really sinks though - at worst, you hang around in little rescue boats while firms cruise the waters and pick out a few of you. I talked to a few 3Ls at my t10, and the word is that as long as you keep applying you'll get something (though not necessarily market paying big law), it's just a matter of when. Someone I know waited until December.

That is still lucky. Know people at CCN who waited well into the spring semester to get a plaintiff's firm that planned from the beginning of giving offers out. I've been in that boat and going through it again, so in all seriousness not sure what to do anymore short of going to the nearest bridge.

I have been infused with a new sense of dread. Good times.

If it feels right, it's probably a good choice. Enjoy a little break, too. You deserve it.

I know most of you guys are probably doing this anyway, but make sure you're following up with firms you haven't gotten responses from! I just scored another callback by doing this. Don't give up hope. I'm almost positive that this firm wouldn't have called me if I hadn't sent an email to the recruiter to reiterate my strong interest in the firm.

Not trying to dissuade you or anything, just curious: did you go into law school as biglaw or bust, or did your priorities change since you started?

ugh. Only 1 firm left that hasn't rejected me. Upside: It's my top choice, the callback went great, and they legitimately seemed to enjoy me. Downside: they are hiring one SA and said "we have a number of other students coming in for interviews." I'm fucked.

Priorities changed when I started. Realized that I didn't like law school and that I needed $160K for the debt and 1.5 years of school to be worth it. Also had a scholarship, so my debt load isn't so severe that I can't start over.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
