For Bodman, did you go on your callback already? What is your callback interview format like? When did you get notified?

Past Bodman format was an interview with three partners at the same time (hour or so), followed by a tour of their (impressive) Ford Field facility and lunch with three associates.

WSU - Top 10%ish, LR, from Metro Detroit

OCI started on Aug 29th.

So far:

Screeners at Warner, Dykema, Clark Hill, Honigman, Varnum, rhoades mckee, Foster Swift, Smith Haughey, Braun Kendrick, Maddin Hauser... Have only heard from Warner (ding via email)

OCI Continues next week, have been pre-selected at Dickinson, Plunckett, a few other small firms (if anyone is interested I can list).

I have heard that there are two offers from Varnum on the table for 2 in my class, they took 3 students out to dinner the night before OCI at Wayne, both of those with offers were part of the 3 students taken out to dinner (Ultra pre-select?).

Would love to here more detail about Michigan firms from those of you who have had screeners/CBs in terms of how long after the interview the CB was arranged/given, since we're still in the middle of LOLCI.

Info from last year, but I had surprise (to me at least) callbacks at both Honigman and Miller Canfield in October of last year, so definitely don't be discouraged if you're not hearing yet. And follow up with the recruiting staff if you've had silence for a while (two weeks plus) and reiterate your interest, especially if you're at a school that doesn't place in Michigan that often.

not a great day..snail mail dings from rhoades mckee and Miller Johnson, email ding from Warner Norcross. Can't say I'm entirely surprised, as I have zero connections to Grand Rapids, but still stings.

Did CBs at Bodman and Miller. Anyone know how long between CB-Offer? or method of CB reject?

Thanks,

Hello,
In Louisiana, there are special procedures which must be followed in medical malpractice cases. For example, in Louisiana, a claim must be filed with the State before a lawsuit can be filed. This claim is then reviewed by a panel of three Louisiana doctors, who give an opinion about whether any health care provider committed malpractice.Only after the panel has reached its decision can a lawsuit be filed. There are many complicated details to this Louisiana panel procedure, and many traps for the inexperienced Louisiana attorney.

Was top 9% at Toledo, transferred to Georgetown where I'm on a secondary journal. From Grand Rapids originally.

screener at Foster Swift - since callback weekend is this weekend, and I wasn't notified today, my guess is ding.

Warner said I didn't make the cut for the first hiring committee meeting but there is another meeting the 22nd and my resume is included, better than a ding I guess.

I'm assuming all of my mass mailings will be responded to once OCI is done at WSU, MSU, and Mich.

OCI is all but done at WSU - only a few smaller firms, and Miller Canfield (tomorrow). Pretty sure we were the last ones in state. Maybe UDM is still going, but that is about it.

guy from above.

Biglaw firms are hesitant because they don't recruit at Toledo and MI firms are afraid I'll jump ship asap for Chicago or DC. So stupid.

Realistically, Michigan firms are hesitant because you just left the area. I don't disagree with your decision - I completely understand it - but one drawback is that Michigan firms are going to question how strongly you want to be in Michigan.

I guess all I can do is communicate my continued interest in the firm until they tell me no.
