Ropes also still has a number of people coming from deferral/pro Bono fellowships over the next two years. They might not be the best place to go if you're interested in starting on time after graduation.

Ropes indicated to current 3Ls that they will start on time. Ropes NY is definitely strongest in IP Lit and Corporate work. There is a large General Litigation group as well, but you might want to consider other firms if you are not open to doing Corporate work (and specifically private equity).
