I am from what I call central jersey. I think of Philly as incredibly close since I live right along the train line. Guess they would consider my area north jersey since no one outside of NJ is gonna break it down further than north and south. Thats a real shame since I would seriously consider philly and gave compelling reasons why I prefer the city. It would be a shame if my home address immediately terminated my candidacy. If so, why even invite me in for an interview?

Primarily so that you can explain away any lingering doubts they may have regarding your long-term plan in Philly.

Which is precisely what I did by juxtaposing NY and Philly and showing how NYC isn't at all for me and Philly has exactly what im looking for. They even commented on how accurate my assessment sounded. Perhaps I just didn't have my best interviews there. Who knows

When was your Schnader CB? I have one next week. Congrats on the offers!

What firms have the best corporate practices in Philly (after Dechert and MLB)?

when was your Cozen CB?
It was the early part of this week.
Congrats!

Hypothetically, if one were to have also had a CB here earlier this week and have heard nothing so far, might this indicate a ding?

Slightly off-topic, but does anyone know of any Philly firms which have agreed to allow a split summer in the past? I have another firm (in another market) which will allow me to do a split summer, but the first half has to be in the other market.

I'm about to accept an offer from MNAT, turning down 3 other Philly-area offers and cancelling 2 callbacks. Hopefully that opens up some spots for people...

probably..though i'm pretty sure Hiring Committees meet at the end of the day on days they meet, so theoretically if you interviewed in the morning on a Thursday, you could still be included in that week's review session.

Archer got back to me about a week after OCI. I know they got back to all of the other people at my school at about the same time because I watched them get up from the library to answer their phone.

Has anyone with an Archer CB heard anything about offers or post-CB rejections? I know they're only in their second week of callbacks but I'm curious.

Was told the process would take a few more weeks. Also told there are 6 spots, 3 of which are already spoken for :(

How do you know that 3 of the spots are already spoken for? and what did they say about it?

Was told they were looking for 5-6 people, but 1 would be a 1L, and 2 were coming from some program at Temple.

Supposedly Thursday? But the DFP apps were due by last Friday. If they were waiting to put out their offers until deciding who they wanted to take for DFP, that could be the explanation for the delay.

on this topic...did any non-minorities bother to do apply for this? i don't want the firm thinking i didn't care enough to fill out the application, but i highly doubt they would select someone like myself anyway...
