Do you get notice if you are rejected?

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Aug 22, 2011 1:05 pm

Hi everyone it has been 3 business days (I interviewed on wednesday) since my interviews with 3 v50 firms and I havent heard anything yet. I've heard before that we get a rejection email/mail if we were rejected I'm wondering if that's true?
Also, are there any big firms known for rejecting without notice at all?

Most will send some sort of notice out, yes.

Most firms will notify you of rejections. However, the timing for rejections varies greatly. Some firms will send them as they decide not to offer you a callback. Other firms will wait until they have filled their summer class (have actually gotten the number of acceptances of offers that they were expecting) before they send out some/all of their rejections.

Yeah, my understanding is that they won't ding borderline people until they've filled the summer class or at least the CB quota.

Op here, thanks alot for the replies! I'm also wondering if there are any v50 firms that are notorious with slow or no rejection notices?

Rejections by mail and email. Some firms are fast some are slow. The slower the news the worse it is.
