I would advise every other 0L out there to come to LS under the assumption that he/she will want biglaw.

This is good advice. Very few of the PI people who start, end up there in the end.

Ironically, I started out assuming I'd want BigLaw, and wound up realizing that PI is where it's at.

Now if only PI orgs were actually hiring...

Fuck that. I want a job where I go to court at least a few days every week. That means either Public Defender or some intense poverty law litigation outfit. Maybe City Solicitor.

OP here. I was referring to rising 2Ls with firm offers from this past summer.

No. You are a jerk for thinking that your friend should take a job they may not want just because they have an offer. Very few firms take 1Ls. Your friend got one. That doesn't mean they aren't "allowed" to then actually interview at the full range of firms they are interested in.

Sounds like you need to take a step back from OCI stress.

Y'all can argue about the base morality of doing OCI all you want, but this isn't really a subject that requires anonymity. If you rip a whole group of individuals as a whole based on stereotyping, and you can't own what you're saying, then you're being a douchebag.

Unless you have a super-obvious reason your generalizations require anon, don't use it. Any anon postings that don't super-obviously need it will get outed for the remainder of this thread.
