Anyone know where Ropes and Gibson NY put you up?
Would humbly disagree. Waldorf Astoria for a firm callback recently.

Debevoise seems to use a few. Hilton NY and Affinia 50 are two of them.

NYC V20 host firm for round of callbacks

Feature of the hotel:
$200/night (yes, for a hotel in midtown)
No steamer in the entire hotel
Iron in room doesn't work
Chair in room doesn't work right (no tension in it, so you're constantly leaning backwards)
Free copy of USA Today
The side of the shower wall is covered in the long hairs of the guest before me (then again, it might have been the guest before the guest before me; who knows)
Door to room looks like they got it when a local prison went out business
The bathroom of floor is.....ah.....where have I seen it before? That's right. The floors in the bathrooms of gas stations.

Yeah. PW put me in the Flatotel instead of the Michaelangelo. Don't know if it was to cut the distance between the other firms I am interviewing with in the city, or what, but definitely a step down from the Michaelangelo.

Should've had a different firm host. I've learned a valuable lesson today.

Firm and hotel?
Don't want to out myself bro. Still would love an offer from this firm even though their choice in hotels is dubious. FWIW, it's considered one of the more "prestigious" V20s. (note: I am saying V20 in order not to out myself; this is the lower limit; the firm could be a V5, V10, V15, or V20.)

I have learned a lesson, I just don't know what it is, or what I can do about it now.

Kirkland has me in the Grand Hyatt because I made the reservation late and everything else in midtown seems to be booked ... guess we'll see how that goes.
