Median, and 18. How much does work experience help? At a firm this summer, and solid (applicable) work experience in the pre-law school days.
^ Sameish as the poster above and would love more info on this. Not at firm this summer though...

Pre-law work experience helps A LOT. Firms are looking for a reason to hire you, and work experience can give them that reason.

I would start target mailing a few firms. I would definitely hit up all the hospitality suites you can, even at firms you don't think you have a shot at. Blanketing NALP right now is probably unnecessary.

a friend of mine did 11 in one day last year, and he survived (barely), so i think we will too. i have 8 first day and 9 second day.

do the firms you added during add/drop KNOW that you did not bid for them? as in, do they not have your resume? or does that only apply to the firms you add *during* the four EIP interview days?

Is there any way to change the resume we send for the firms we just added? I accidentally sent the wrong one, ugh.

The last two questions (changing the resume and whether the firms will know we didn't bid on them) are great ones. I would love to know the answer too.

Also, should we be emailing/snail mailing firms that we bid on but didn't land interviews with?? There are a couple that I would love to work at, but I didn't get them because of the lottery.

Is it worth emailing resumes to firms that will be attending EIP now, in hopes that they might fit you in, or wait until post-EIP, post-hospitality suite visit?

3Ls, when, approximately, will the interviewers' names appear on symplicity? I've done several practice interviews this week, and I am really realizing how important it is to have questions tailored to the interviewer...

About half of my interviewers' names are already up.

Very interested in this question. Should I just go by their hospitality suite on the first day, give them my resume, and ask if I can get squeezed into the screening interview schedule somehow? Or should I be emailing them now?

Anywhere from once you received your schedule to the day of the interview. Sometimes they change, so remember to return periodically to confirm it's the same one. And sometimes they don't have them up on Symplicity or switch interviewers on you the day of the interview. If you go to the hospitality suite and talk to HR, they can tell you who you are interviewing with, give you a bio sheet, or you can look them up on a laptop/smartphone. Or you can just look at the sheets on the doors (the interviewer and all the people interviewing in that suite are posted on every door), but you should visit the hospitality suite for every firm you are interviewing with anyway.

You should wait and go by the hospitality suite. You are asking for an interview outside of the normal 20 interview schedule, whether it is before, after, or during someone's lunch break. It's better to do it the day of- then the recruiter knows when the attorneys are available and can squeeze you in.

Ok thanks, that makes sense. More specific question: I have a strong resume but median grades--do I stand there awkwardly while they look at my resume and transcript and decide whether to make an effort to squeeze me in? Or do I drop both off and say I'll come back in a bit to see if they've found a spot for me? Or do I just hand them my resume without my transcript?

I know it's a little thing but... it's stressing me out!

I would not give them anything until you know whether they can schedule you in.

If they can't (which will probably happen) just give them a resume.

If they can, give them everything. The interviewer will need to see a resume beforehand to prepare questions and will have to take the transcript anyway. They aren't going to withdraw the offer to interview because they don't like your transcript.

In terms of waiting, they will probably know whether they are doing extra screeners already. So you will get a response quickly. If not, just give them your number (or resume) and they can call you if they have an extra slot.

Are we allowed to cancel interviews at this point? There is a firm I bid on that I realize after more research would not be a good fit (I know I should've done my due diligence before bidding....)

OCS won't let you cancel anymore. I guess just show up and take it as a practice interview.

How bad is it? Is it like "signed up for an IP firm that requires a tech degree and I don't have one?"

I'd go with what the poster above said and email MK at OCS.
