Apparently willing my phone to ring is not one of my talents. Nor is interviewing.

Re: CLS EIP 2011
Don't think so, but the only person who looked at my bid list was someone from career services, and maybe she overestimated my interviewing skills. I don't think I was being over optimistic though. For now I'm going to tell myself my friday firms/interviewers just haven't gotten around to giving callbacks yetAnonymous User wrote:i'm sorry. that sucks. that's strange, though. i thought stone scholars were pretty much set. do you think you overbid?Anonymous User wrote:Low Stone, non-LR journal, mainly NYC. is it weird to be having success at only 'highly selective' firms? im grateful to have cb's but it's a bit worrisome b/c these places don't exactly give out offers like candy

Depends on your grades and which firms. SullCrom gives an offer to the vast majority of people who get CBs. And, if you have high grades (high Stone to Kent), it can be harder to get CBs from the V50-V100 range (who expect you to have a strong reason for your interest in the firm) than from the V10s (who only expect good grades and fit).Anonymous User wrote:is it weird to be having success at only 'highly selective' firms? im grateful to have cb's but it's a bit worrisome b/c these places don't exactly give out offers like candy

It seems like today was kind of quiet on the CB front

Re: CLS EIP 2011
That could definitely explain why I've gotten multiple V10s and only one below that (despite equal numbers of V10 and non-V10 and being equally enthusiastic in interviews).Anonymous User wrote:Depends on your grades and which firms. Re: CLS EIP 2011
How does Cravath interview on Saturdays (are partners always there)? Is it a disadvantage to interview then as opposed to a weekday? I would guess morale would be low(er) on a weekend...

Initials from Dechert?Anonymous User wrote:Dechert is still calling back, heard from them this morning. I know a few people who heard from them on Saturday, so it's just further proof that you're not completely screwed if a firm you interviewed with has given CBs to other people but not you.
