Would like to rant a bit here. DC is fucking tough!

I had 9 screening interviews in DC, 3 CBs, and 1 offer from a V100. My screeners were all at DC firms with relatively large class sizes. Sigh.

I had 9 screening interviews in NYC, 8 CBs, and offers from most of the V10.

This was not part of the plan!

Seriously? Most of the class is without offers and you're complaining about not only having choice of most of the V10, but also having options in the two most popular and competitive cities?

I think the point is well-put. Its a lot easier to get a job in NYC than DC.

I just wish it was something that was brought to my attention before EIW so I (who has been leaning towards DC but could easily do NYC) could have adjusted my strategy accordingly.

I don't know who your career counselor is/was, but mine talked to me several times about the difficulty of landing in the DC market compared to NYC. Also I think just looking at the expected SA class sizes on NALP, really made it pretty clear.

CB from BBK- interviewed with them during LA GRIP. They're super late but I'm posting just in case anyone here was waiting on them. I declined the callback so hopefully someone else from GULC will get a call soon.
