Congrats on this - how soon after CB did you receive your offer? Do you think you'll accept?

Re: Georgetown 2011 OCI Thread
Did anyone go to the Chadbourne NY callback on Thursday night? There were like 15 gtown people there...a bunch of people I know, inclusive of myself...were literally rejected the next morning. It almost seemed like we were rejected before we even got in the door...dont see how they could have made decisions that fast. If anyone got an offer from that night or has any other info/thoughts...share them!
Its weird that they moved up the interview date randomly and then rejected a bunch of people by 3PM the next day...its almost like they had extended too many offers...and then felt..hmm lets get all the gtown kids here at once and then just get rid of them...i assume this process is better than revoking callbacks..which would probably be abovethelaw worthy.

Wasn't there but it sounds like your intuition may be correct

I think your intuition is spot on. They probably have had more acceptances then they were expecting. Though given the economy, better to reject people then extend offers for the summer that don't turn into permanent jobs.

Blahh its so so annoying. Like why even extend callbacks in the 1st place! Not happy about it.

Wait, I'm curious, what happened here? Was this not your original callback? How did they change it? was the dinner in DC or NY?
The reason I ask is that I know a gtown student who still has a callback coming up there. The person will likely be stressed when they see this.

Re: Georgetown 2011 OCI Thread
I have a good friend with a Chadbourne CB and she was told by recruiting that the firm was only starting callbacks last Monday 9/12 and planned on ending their callbacks on Friday 9/23. Their travel dept then scheduled her a morning CB and a lovely 5am train morning of to NYC. Let's just say she wasn't too happy about the train and the news about the GULC 2L party there Thursday night.
Weird sh*t. Didn't they interview a ton (like 80-100) students at EIW, even though their SA program is pretty small?

Hard to believe that their class would be full only a few days into callbacks...
Has your friend had her CB already or is it still scheduled for the future? It would be odd for them to have moved everyone else up, but not her.
Also, their class last year was only 17.

Nope. I don't think they've extended any GULC offers.

Chadbourne cb Thursday --> email rejection Friday.
Did not leave with a favorable impression of the firm at all. I didn't get my list of interviewers until I got there despite asking for it several times in the previous 24 hours. Security downstairs did not have my name in the system. They just did not seem to give a shit overall.
