Anecdotal evidence, but the vast majority of people I know have received offers for the summer

I know two people below median - one in bottom 10% - who have offers at market paying firms for the summer. I would not be at all surprised if we get over 45% into NLJ250 for next summer.

How do you even know what the bottom 10% is? They don't publish any cut-offs below the top 33%.

Last year, our published number was 38% in the NLJ250. I agree that 45% would be an entirely reasonable result for this year.

Not to be a downer or anything, but everyone I know the grades of is in the top third. As we all know, not everyone is in the top third, but those that share or are likely to share (and so forth) are those that are well off. Knowing people that have offers is no indication of how the class as a whole is doing and even talking like it gives you an accurate description of the class is misleading and silly.

How well of an indication it is depends on how many people you know, no?

Any guesses as to % of folks with EIW offers?

I know of 3 (one of whom is me):

Top 10%: V5
Top 25%: V20
Top 33%: V100

Don't know of any strikeouts.

I posted earlier in this thread but ill post again; most of my friends who wanted dc or nyc and did eiw have offers. I know maybe a dozen people with offers. I'm top 1/3 and had three offers at vault ranked firms. Actually canceled a few callbacks after I got my top choice offer. Long story short, I think we did well.

Do you know why you haven't heard of any strike-outs? Because we don't talk about it. And you wouldn't either. Frankly it's embarrassing. But hiding behind an anonymous post, I'll admit it. I have no offers and no prospects left. There ya go.

And also...if you're talking about the top-33%, I'm sure everyone has offers. But try to remember that 2/3 of your classmates are not in this category and they need jobs too.

Top 33%. Ten callbacks, zero offers.

that's rough man. you gotta see what you're doing wrong. i know people who have just nailed callbacks, and some, like me, who have gotten pummed.
