And Proskauer Chicago interviewed at Illinois yesterday--I'd be surprised if they dinged people that quickly.

Top 50% at UIUC, no law review, significant but non law related WE after undergrad.

3 selects
1 alternate
10 rejects.

Not bad, considering my mediocre stats, I guess.

I got two from the lottery.

Question: for the pre-selects, if a firm currently says "pending" does that mean we did not get selected, or does it just mean we are pending, as in they haven't submitted their pre-selects? Basically I'm wondering, if all the pre-selects have gone out and I just have the two interviews, or if there is still hope.

For the lottery one, I think pending means not selected or possible an alternate?

How does your OCI one for the Fall look? Do you have any interviews yet? I have a few that say n/a. I was thinking that these might mean preselect that will eventually switch over but that if a firm's number keeps going down, and if it still says pending, it means that you weren't selected. What are your thoughts?

Were your selects in Chicago or secondary markets? I'm UIUC top 25% and got the same amount of interviews. I wish they didn't cancel the lottery system this year.

If you are an alternate, it will say so. I also have one alternate for the lottery. I think you're right about what "pending" means for the lottery firms. Career services just updated symplicity to list the firms that have made all their selections, and its just a list of the lottery firms. So if it says pending for any of the 11 lottery firms, it's now safe to assume you weren't selected.

I have two n/a for regular OCI. I noticed that both are for firms that prefer (but don't require) a science background. I don't have a science background, so I assumed "n/a" meant they rejected me. Who knows though.

Similar school, same stats (don't know whether you guys are doing secondary journal), I look alot like the original poster. It seems like the same 10-15 people get all the interviews.

Really disappointing, hoping for a better week 2-7.

top 10% at midwest t30, transferred to t14. have had 13 OCI screenerrs, no CBs yet (1 ding). mass mail has resulted in a few screeners, couple dings, but mostly silence.

this is just painful...

Secondary markets. I got one in Indy, one in STL, and one in Chambana. I believe most of the 10 rejects were Chicago. I got my top 3 bids, though.

WUSTL OCI isn't till next week, but have been on 4 CBs so far with another next week. Still waiting on a fair number of mailings and job fair screener results.
