Not at all. Cheaper to do more screeners and callbacks for New York firms at New York City schools.

Still useful for comparing firm-to-firm.

any idea how low Boies CB to offer ratio is? I'm assuming I have a 10% chance of turning it into an offer.

What are people's GPAs who have gotten V10 callbacks? OCS is not helpful in this regard at all.

Didn't the interviewer mention he billed 3500 hours one year? That's just...hilarious.

My rejections thus far:

Neal Gerber (snail)
Skadden Chicago (snail)
Mayer Brown Chicago (snail)
Paul Hastings Chicago (snail)

For the 1Ls, I'll post how many post-labor day CBs I get so you have an idea of whether you should be freaking out if you don't have many CBs after OCI ends. I wish somebody would've done the same last year.

Diversity? I wouldn't be totally surprised with these types of results for an AA male.

No. But I know a urm who has medianish grades with around 10 callbacks.

I really don't believe anybody without diversity status or significant work experience is pulling three V10 callbacks with below-median grades. Just don't believe it.

Ask around you might be surprised. Also I wished OCS would release aggregate number of callbacks for gpa ranges. If I had to take a bet I would say outside of the very tippy top of the class the 176-178 crowd does better than the 178-179 range. I think a lot of people with 178-179 averages bid incorrectly (heavy DC, San Fran, and all v15 NY firms).

So what you're saying, as somebody with three V10 offers, no work experience, and no diversity status, and who is below median, is that people bid too aggressively? Something tells me you're full of shit, man. And I have asked around. Nobody I know with around your grades and who doesn't have diversity status/terrific work experience is getting any V10 offers regardless of looks/interview skills.

Well there are certain v10 firms that are particularly friendly towards personable people. I think your underestimating by a long shot the poor interview skills/presentation of many candidates. And yes I do believe people bid to aggressively.

Preach it. I'm a submedian WASP with a speech impediment and I'm raking in the CBs like it's '07 up in this biatch.
