If you haven't already done so, any idea on when you expect to make callbacks?

I will try to notify everyone by the end of this week if at all possible. Call back interviews will be over the next two weeks either via video conference or in person, depending on availability.Anonymous User wrote:If you haven't already done so, any idea on when you expect to make callbacks?

Have you gotten a sense of what the GPA/rank cutoff will be? What factors, if any, would make you look beyond the GPA/rank when deciding whether to give an applicant a call back?lawfirmrecruiter wrote:All call backs will be within acceptable grade ranges. We are looking at a lot of factors beyond GPA.Anonymous User wrote:BumpAnonymous User wrote:Have you gotten a sense of what the GPA/rank cutoff will be? We are just now starting to notify candidates about call backs and it will take a couple of days. I will notify those not selected by the middle of August by e-mail.Anonymous User wrote:When and how will those who are not offered interviews be notified?

LFR: I am a rising 2L so this program was not for me, but I would be interested a year from now. I understand that regional ties are important for a lot of firms, but is there anyway you would consider a candidate without ties to the area? I am from the Northeast, but have moved around for college and work after undergrad. I am interested in the quality of a firm, its work environment and opportunities to litigate; I am single and would be happy to settle down in any number of areas. Is there anyway that someone like me would be competitive either for this program or for other firms outside of the area where I grew up/go to law school? Thanks for your help!

Absolutely! You just have to make a case about why a particular market or firm interests you and your plan to stay long term.Brassica7 wrote:LFR: I am a rising 2L so this program was not for me, but I would be interested a year from now. LFR: Can we get an update? Is there any order in which you are calling candidates?

Can you give examples of what is being considered when determining whether to give a call back? What are you able to glean from the resume, CL, etc. besides work experience and grades?

Thank you all for your interest in the program and your patience. As you can imagine, we had a LOT of very qualified candidates to review and consider. I am making calls now and going by practice group.Anonymous User wrote:LFR: Can we get an update? Is there any order in which you are calling candidates?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Hopefully someone from TLS will get a call soon, so we can get an update....

Also, what's your school/stats/ties like?
And trivial question here, was the call from a 615 #? Just got a new phone and haven't populated it with my contacts yet. So every number comes up digits, and I don't want to be caught off guard if I get the Waller call.

LFR, can you let us know where you are in the process as of the end of today? Which practice groups have you completed (most importantly), when do you think you'll be done, etc.?

No one with half a brain, even with the availability of the anonymous post feature, is going to tell you their school/stats/ties when they know for a fact that the recruiting director is active on this site.
Also to the other anonymous poster, you guys need to calm down with bothering this lady. She's been very helpful, but she can't reasonably be expected to update you on every step of the process. Either you'll get a callback, or you'll get a rejection. That's how it works. Don't be so thirsty.
