OCI double dipping as a transfer?

Set on transferring from a T35 to a T14 school. Currently preparing for OCI at the new school. I also noticed that my old school is holding a regional interview program in my target market a couple of weeks before the start of classes and before my main OCI. Several firms in which I am interested will participate. I am considering using the regional program to interview with 4-5 firms and leave them off my main bid list.

Thoughts on this?

Is your old school just "hosting" the event which is open to all law students? If it's only open to certain law schools, then your transfer school should be in that list of open schools for you to participate.

Otherwise, I think the best (and most ethical?) thing to do is to act as if you're a part of your new school and that you have no more connection to your old school (or reap any of your old school's benefits). It sucks, but I think that's probably right. Did you already inform them that you're transferring?

One more thing, if you were really intent on doing this, you could always ask and see what they say -- it would almost certainly be a "no" because why would they help someone who's not going to help them increase their employment statistics?

I'd agree with this. Full-on double dipping is pretty rude, but it's possible that the circumstances of this program you're talking about would make it appropriate to do both.

ask your old school's career services if they are okay with it.
