I didn't apply to law review. Plus I had forgotten about journals until I saw this thread plus law review just called and didnt send an email saying they were going to call and then never call.MTC87 wrote:Why wasn't there this much spazzing out last Friday, when calls for Law Review were going out?

Re: Columbia Journals
This is OP. Well, I have been freaking out all day because I didn't get any calls, but it turns out I made HRLR! I gave up hope when I saw that all those calls went out between 9:00 and 11:00.

Re: Columbia Journals
hah....personally i had no shot at law review, so i didn't think it was worth my time and energy to freak out. i think most of my friends took the same approach.MTC87 wrote:Why wasn't there this much spazzing out last Friday, when calls for Law Review were going out?

I think if you got the CBLR email, you got in...so who cares if they call you later - you're in! Relax!

Re: Columbia Journals
for those of you still waiting for the call-- don't worry, it'll come soon. the people calling probably got stuck at work or something, they are 2Ls and summering long hours. if you got the email you got in, there's no danger of it being a mistake, so just relax and wait for the call! congrats!Anonymous User wrote:I think if you got the CBLR email, you got in...so who cares if they call you later - you're in! Re: Columbia Journals
Is it possible to get offers to more than one secondary journal? I am wondering whether to accept my offer or whether I should wait for anything else?

probably because you can't post anonymously in there and people prefer not to disclose their identities?Julio_El_Chavo wrote:Why isn't this thread (and all others like it) in the Law Students forum?

Anyone else in this make law review.
Got the call early Friday. Did anyone celebrate? I personally wasn't surprised at all with my selection.

Thought it may be a good idea to resurrect this old thread. I believe calls for CLR have already gone out. Has anyone gotten a call for any of the secondary journals? Are they supposed to go out today too?

Reading through this thread gave me a fucking heart attack, because I didn't read the dates and notice that it was from 2011. I thought I had missed out on everything.

Ooops - sorry about that. Guess I should've started a new thread instead. Just thought the old one had some interesting info.the_phoenix612 wrote:Reading through this thread gave me a fucking heart attack, because I didn't read the dates and notice that it was from 2011. Thank you for keeping us updated. I'm wondering when HRLR and JTL come out. I know "journals don't matter blah blah" but I think we all have random preferences.Anonymous User wrote:STLR has sent emails.
I don't know what this is making me so nervous.

...no emails/calls from any journals still.
What happens if we don't get into any journals?
