Reference List Question
So I've never really had to put together a reference list and was wondering 1. how many people should I include and 2. what kind of people should I be asking to be on my list of references?

My default is three, but I'd put more if the job description demands it (although, every job that ever requested more than three had their own form or an online system). I always had a list printed up with two law profs who knew me reasonably well and my supervisor from the job I had for the four years prior to law school. I typically had a third law prof prepped and on deck if they didn't want to talk to my previous supervisor, but it never came up at an actual interview.
