Unless the firm is Cravath or your UG work is relevant DIRECTLY to the practice you would be hired into (basically only patent) no firm will look at your transcript except to verify you passed undergrad.
Don't bother trying to come up with involved explanations for why Cravath looks at UG transcripts. They're just cooky. There are dozens of firms more selective than CSM, including big firms in NYC, so it's not like only THE UBER LAW STUDENTS can pass muster for the UBER LAW FIRM.
