Cali program seems to be somewhat late in the process. Many people are already doing callbacks and have offers at that point. I wish they'd have done it like the Texas one and had it pre-OGI.

Re: UVa OGI 2011 thread
I have a small number of interviews from the CA program.
Trying to figure out if it's worth the money. Is Morgan Lewis interviewing 3 roomfuls of students? Considering that 1) the only participants in the Interview Program are UVA and Duke, 2) Morgan Lewis offices have relatively small SA class sizes, and 3) they recruit at several other schools and fairs, they can't be giving out that many offers at this fair. If they are indeed interviewing 60 Duke/UVA kids, the chances are pretty miniscule.

Ugh. 10 interviews and complete radio silence. This is slowly killing me.

Just got dinged by Katten Chi. median, very strong ties to chicago, really kind of surprised/bummed seeing that I heard Katten was not super grade conscious.

Re: UVa OGI 2011 thread
Latham LA/OC interviewer made at least some call backs already.
I'm from cali so here's a tip for anyone visiting LA for the California Interview Program: Don't rent a car. The majority of hotels charge a lot of parking, even if you're a guest it can be like $15-20 per night. The Westin Bonaventure where the fair is happening is like $30-40 or something ridiculous to park at. Job fair is on a Friday, so you'll have to deal with traffic and one-way streets. My suggestion is split a hotel in Downtown LA with someone else and then take a quick cab ride to the job fair. It'll be less stressful and probably save you money.
To get from LAX to Downtown LA, take the LAX Fly Away (direct non-stop shuttle service). It stops at Union Station in DTLA, which is like 1-2 miles from the Westin Bonaventure. A one-way ride is only $7.

There's this news from Kasowitz, but I'm pretty sure that's not what you're asking about.Anonymous User wrote:Any news from Sidley or Kasowitz?

This is such a roller coaster. I started the season with a bang with CB's, but ever since then it's been radio silence whether just by coincidence or by bad interviews. I've heard of people getting CB's at places I heard from well after I heard. Definitely buy into the idea that you're not dinged till you're told. Even then, I heard theres stories of firms bringing back their dings into callbacks.
