I personally know three people around median who wanted to bid chicago/socal/etc. and were told by OCS that if they wanted a job they should bid NYC instead. Sure, this may help those students but they may have had a shot at getting a job in a market they actual want to work in and this also harms the students in that grade range who genuinely want to be in NYC. But, like I said, more interviews doesn't necessarily mean that one is more likely to get a job although I'm sure you would be frustrated if you only got 10 interviews and you can't deny that OCS played a role in this.

No, I'm not saying that. They didn't exactly tell the entire class that though as was suggested. And who knows, given their GPA that could still have been very good advice for those students.
