I have one coming up....That long? That seems like a long time between callback and offer.Anonymous User wrote:had a K&S callback last week, they said somewhere between 1-2 weeks probably

Jones Day ATL callback coming up. From UT/Vandy/GULC. Anyone know their approximate offer rate for callbacks in the ATL office?

Yes, I know a 2L who accepted an offer at JD probably a week ago, after receiving the offer about a week or 2 before that.Anonymous User wrote:has anyone gotten jones day atl offers and how long was the turn around?
If you haven't received a "no" letter yet, don't give up hope, you're still in the running. I know a candidate from a few years ago who didn't get a call back invitation to a large Atlanta firm until after classmates had already received their summer offers at the firm. He ultimately received a callback weeks after and is now an associate there. I also know people from my class who interviewed at the same firm, but received offers in *opposite* order of their callbacks (first callback got the second offer, between those two).

I know at least one person who has. I'm starting to badger them, as I have a couple of offers on the table, but would love to go work at Kilpatrick.Anonymous User wrote:Has anyone gotten offers post callback from kilpatrick?

I have an offer at Kilpatrick. I also know of someone else that got an offer from there. It came about a week after the call back.Anonymous User wrote:I know at least one person who has. Yes. And it just seems like a really good fit given my personality - I'm a total goofball.Anonymous User wrote:I'm in the same boat, but not so smitten with Kilpatrick. Why do you like them? Anyone have a McKenna timeline? My CB was on Thursday. They said the committee meets on Friday and it will take 1-2 weeks. I know to take that timeline with a grain of salt. I have other offers in a different market I'm sitting on, but I liked McKenna more.

I know they have committee meetings every 2 weeks -- depends on when you came through the cycleAnonymous User wrote:Anyone have a McKenna timeline? My CB was on Thursday. So...I think they're done with callbacks.

Seconded. Top 20%ish at Vandy, what firms do I have the best shot at in ATL? Ties consist of some family in the city and going to undergrad and law school in the South.Anonymous User wrote:Bump for 2012.

No real ties other than business experience with the south. T10, IP. Bid on a a bunch of ATL firms at the patent fair, let's see how it goes.

Also watching this with interest. Below median but above bottom 25% at HYS. Grew up in deep south (but not georgia), attended non-prestigious undergrad (i.e. not Vandy or Georgia Tech) in the deep south outside of georgia, obviously dont attend law school in the south.

Watching as well. When are people planning on applying that are out of state and don't have Atlanta offices (or very few) coming to their job fair? DCNG top 1/3 here, grew up in Georgia and attended undergrad there

Does anyone know anything about the recent King and Spalding 3L hiring? They've done it for 2 years in a row now.
Also, anyone have any comments on K&S in general?

Re: Let's talk about Atlanta!
Hi guys, I'm the OP. Atlanta was a fucking wasteland last year and I was unable to get a SA spot there. Fortunately, I did in another city. For all those trying, I can't stress enough to plan on not getting a spot in ATL and also concentrating heavily on home markets and NY.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
