Building Book Business

Post by dissonance1848 » Fri May 27, 2011 10:56 pm

I am an ignorant 0L, and most of the members and lurkers on these boards are either 0Ls or law students.

However, given the fact that building one's line of business is basically a must if one wants a job in the long run (either making partner at the firm one was recruited to, lateralling over to another one and making partner, going in-house, or switching industries), are there any partners, associates, or others who switched fields who could shed light on how prospective associates/lawyers can build client relationships?
