Poster from above. Miami SAO also asked if I would actually come to Miami if I got an offer and whether I had ever considered being a public defender.

You said you were a Florida 3L, did you indicate any Miami ties?

Did they completely haze you at your screener? Expect that x10 at your callback.
2L here with summer offer from Miami. No hazing whatsoever in my interview, but I've heard stories.

2L Ding from SD Fed too. I have lots of experience with working in a federal defender's office, especially on mitigation work. I don't have experience doing immigration stuff so though. Lol funny how the things you think you have a chance at you don't and vice versa.

T14, two PD summers at same office (think SF-Bronx-Miami caliber). Two clinics. Lemme know if any other info would be helpful.

I got an email from EJW, but you can also check this way. Hopefully the silence means you haven't been dinged.

Anyway...

Nope. Maybe they're taking their time because I haven't had my own first-rounder yet.

Also, does anyone know the application process for Queens DA (i.e., how many rounds, how selective, etc.)?

According to a former classmate in my school's crim clinic who interviewed with Queens DA last year, there are three rounds of interviews. She also directly applied, and was finished interviewing by December. I don't know how competitive it is, but I imagine it must be pretty competitive.

Same user as PDS poster here. Now have a second round with NJ, as well, after OCI screener.

2L here just got my third interview request for Fed Defenders of Eastern Cali.

On an unrelated note does anyone know if PDS is contacting 2Ls for call backs yet from OCI? I know a few 3Ls from my school asked for call backs, but nothing for 2Ls.

3L here--I haven't heard of any 2Ls with callbacks from PDS, though I have heard about 3Ls. What school / tier are you at? Region?
