I know gov't jobs are pretty competitive right now, but has anyone here gotten a law-related fed job under the VRA program? Qualified people can be appointed non-competitively up to GS-11 positions, and I think entry-level fed law jobs are GS 9 or GS 11, right? I am VRA eligible as a disabled vet.
I guess what I'm asking is if anyone knows how much being VRA eligible will help me in getting a fed job? Will I be all but guaranteed to get one, or do agencies not really use VRA at all for law jobs, or something in between? I'm also prior GS 9/11 fed service (yeah, yeah, "why did you go to law school," etc...), not sure if that will help me.
